"A good work of art allows the viewers to bring their own experience of life forward and the artist hopes you will find expression in the window that touches your own soul,"Â Â Marie Hammond, Artist and PCOTW member. The Creation Window
The Creation Window is located at the west end of the narthex. It was commissioned by the Jack Allison family. This window reflects the hymn, "This is my Father's World." Read the words of this hymn and many of the images can be found in the window. The morning light. The lilies white. The rocks and trees. The skies, stars and seas. IÂ hope that this window declares the wonder that God has wrought and that you can hear the music of the spheres when you view it. The Sanctuary Cross
The constant and central piece of the window is the cross. The cross is surrounded by and immersed in a more complex setting which depicts the mighty sweep of the universe. The cross stands strong in the midst of all the diversity and complexities that make up our lives. The color green is personal growth and ordinary time, white is purity, purple is penance, blue is royalty, and red is tongues of fire for Pentecost. The Cross of Christ touches all elements of life and will remain steadfast in an ever changing world. A good work of art allows the viewers to bring their own experience of life forward and I hope you will find expression in the window that touches your own soul. The Presbyterian Church Seal
The symbols in the seal are the cross, Scripture, the dove, and flames. The dominant structural and theological element in the design is the cross — the universal and most ecumenical symbol of the Christian church. The cross represents the incarnate love of God in Jesus Christ and his passion and resurrection. Because of its association with Presbyterian history, the Celtic cross is the model for this contemporary rendering of the ancient symbol. The Alpha and Omega
The Alpha and Omega window is framed on the other side of the main entrance to our church. We believe in the Sovereignty of God. God is above all, in all, and through all. God is the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end. It is God who acts, and with gratitude we respond in worship, education, and service to the glory of God.
