Wednesday Midweek Enrichment

 

Many families and individuals spend Wednesday nights at church for an enriching evening that includes a community meal, fellowship, learning, and personal growth.  The evening begins with dinner, followed by music and educational activities for all ages.  Child care is available.

 

Schedule:

 

 

                                             5:45 to 6:30 p.m.                        Dinner for everyone: $3.00 (adult);

                                                                                      $2.00 (5-12 years); free (under 4 years)        

                                  6:00 to 7:30 p.m.                        Spirit Sounds rehearsal

                                   6:30 to 7:30 p.m.                         Wednesday Forum for Adults (see below for more info!)

                                                                                         Ministry and Media (9th-12th grades),

                                                                                         SLAM (6th-8th grades),

                                                                                         Mini-SLAM (3-years through 5th grade)

                                    7:30 to 9:00 p.m.                         Chancel Choir rehearsal for Adults and Youth

Women’s Book Club

 

 

 

The Women’s Book Club meets on the fourth Tuesday   of each month.  The next meeting will be October 23 at 9:30 a.m. (Church Library) to discuss, Under the Banner of Heaven, by Jon Krakauer.  All women are invited to attend.  The November selection is, Reading Lolita, by Azar Nafisi. 

 

Men’s Book Club

 

 

The Men’s Book Club meets on the fourth Thursday of each month.  The next meeting will be October 27 at         8 a.m. in Rooms 1 and 2 to discuss, God’s Universe, by Owen Gingerich (Bolknap Press of Harvard University Press, 2006).  Bob Ash will be leading the discussion.      All men are welcome to attend any or all of the meetings!

Wednesday Evening Bible Study: The Book of Job *               6:30 - 7:30 p.m., Rooms 1 and 2

 

This thought-provoking Adult Bible Study explores such questions as, Why suffering?  Who and where is God?                   Is there meaning in human existence?  How can faith be justified?  Child Care is available from 6:00 p.m.  Opening Prayer will be offered promptly at 6:30 p.m., and concludes with equal promptness at 7:30 p.m.  Led by Margie and Bob Henry.

Women’s Bible Study                                                                 Meets in the Church Library                                                                                                    

There are two Bible Study options open for women in the PCOTW community, depending on your schedule and interests. This year both groups will focus on the question: What exactly does it mean to hear God’s call?  They will look    at this question through the lens of what God’s call meant for Jonah and Ruth. 

 

 

 

                                          Monday Evening Bible Group: 1st and 3rd Mondays, 6:00 p.m. (note time change!)

                                Tuesday Morning Bible Group: 1st and 3rd Tuesdays, 9:30 a.m.
