Session Introduction

The Session consists of the pastor and the elders in active service. One elder serves as the Clerk of Session. The Session of Presbyterian Church of the Way has six Commissions which break the work of the Session into manageable areas of responsibility:

• Christian Education
• Congregational Life
• Facilities
• Mission
• Outreach and Evangelism
• Worship

In addition the the above commissions, Stewardship is a Committee of the Session. The Session meets once a month on the first Thursday of the month.

Commissions

A Session member chairs each commission. The commissions manage the program and mission work of the church. All commissions work with the pastor and are encouraged to enlist members of the congregation to serve on their commissions. The commissions meet on the third Thursday of every month.
